After the main event, we're planning on heading off on a 2 week long 'Buddymoon' camping and 4wd adventure with our friends who are keen on a more intense adventure!

This will involve self-driving and self-catering our way through some epic campsites and national parks in Southern Africa. We haven't planned the exact route yet, but it'll likely be through one or some of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

This won't be for the faint-hearted though. We'll be camping wild in some locations which will be unfenced and we'll likely have Hyenas running through camp at night, with Elephant, Lion and Leopard all around. All of the campsites we choose will have toilets and showers (whether or not they're hot, I'm not sure), but a 20m walk through the bush to the toilet in the night when you've been listening to lions roaring can feel like a hell of a long way. You'll want to feel comfortable popping a squat close to your car and getting back up into your rooftop tent.

We'll also have some interesting times crossing some land borders, picking up supplies in some small African towns and also a little bit of 4wd-ing to access some very remote areas. It'll be a heap of fun, but I can guarantee it won't all go to plan. Someone will have mechanical issues with their car or a broken fridge, and one of the cars will have a falling out over something pretty trivial.

You might have picked up on it already but we don't think this trip will be suitable for anyone with young kids. So if you are planning on having some little one(s) by this stage you might have to sit it out.

This trip will likely be limited to around 5-6 cars of 4 people each, so unfortunately not everyone who is coming to the wedding will be able to make it.
